Goa is located on the West Coast of India. Within Goa, Colva is situated in the South, 45 minutes drive from Dabolim Airport and a 15 minutes ride from Margao, the second largest city in Goa and a centre for travel and commerce. Local and Western goods are available and you will also find banks and Internet cafes. The town has an excellent market area along with a Bazaar that is a labyrinthine covered area that's a rich source of authentic souvenirs and a good place to browse for some bargain shopping.
Summer in Goa is from mid-March until the end of June. The monsoon period is June-September when approximately 250cm to 300cm of rain can be expected. Winters are from late November to mid February with maximum temperatures of around 26 degrees. The Arabian Sea stays warm all year round, ranging from 25-35 degrees.
Explore along the South Goa coastline with its stunning white sands and blue seas and you can find many empty peaceful coves for that true 'Touch of Paradise'. To get a sense of the history of South Goa take a tour to Old Goa with its fascinating temples and churches or visit the Spice Farm,Wax Musuem, Big Foot and Goa’s Ancestral House. The waterfalls at Dudhsagar are also very popular where you can feed the monkeys and then take a jeep ride through the National Park before cooling off in the natural lake at the bottom of the falls.
